Sugar, spice and everything nice...

For those of you that missed out on this weeks Toastmaster's meeting, you missed out on a special treat! In the spirit of the soon approaching Valentine's day Toastmaster Fayola Huffman shared a Table topic theme and questions that were a hallmark for this season. Sugar cookies were given to all who attended and this week's winner of table topics also received an Organic Sugar Scrub "Dulce Suenos" which complimented the theme: "Sugar, spice and everything nice..." Congratulations Krishnan!!!

As promised, here are the songs that inspired the table topics for this week:

1) "Cupid" and "Try a little tenderness" - Otis Redding
Question: Do you believe that people can petition or ask God for their soulmate?

2) "Can't Hurry Love" - Phil Collins
Question: Should individuals wait for their ideal spouse (true love) or settle down at a certain age whether their in love or not?

3) "Time in a bottle" - Jim Croce
Question: Can love last a lifetime?

4) "The first time I saw your face" - Roberta Flack
Question: Do you believe in love at first sight?

5) "Say what you need to say" - John Mayer
Question: Do you express yourself fully by "saying what you need to say" to your loved ones?

6) "Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam" - An Indian song (love makes me insane)
Question: Do you believe that love causes temporary insanity?

Many of these songs are great live performances that you can check out on Youtube. A few more great performances to check out include "Shape of my heart" by Sting, and "Wait for love" by Luther Vandross, etc.

Enjoy your Valentine's week and do something good for your heart!
