The Filling Station...

A few weeks ago former Plano West President Mahendra Doriaj introduced our group to the term Unbuntu which is an African term meaning: "I exist, because of who you are..." This term  is also synonomous with  the idea of the simple human kindness that acknowledges "the other" as an integral part of our success (even with our unique differences).  I experience this "unity"  in  almost   every meeting...  A powerful feeling that refreshes the mind and soul and shifts the way I  perceive  a world that is rife with competition and  obstacles  that  chisel  away at the virtues that bring a sense of  harmony between self and others.

There is a saying: "When the student is ready... the teacher will appear."  You are ALL my teachers.  I hear throughout your speeches the necessity to collaborate rather than to compete and this  application spills over into both my personal and professional life.  I have always found a "filling station" through; faith, family and friends... But I have added this team to the list.  Special thanks for the kindness and "well  wishes" on today.  Thanks for being the audience that genuinely  desires  you to succeed!
